Over two years, Lyman-Morse had the privilege of working on several projects with the University of Notre Dame – specifically through the Notre Dame Initiative for Global Development – supporting efforts in Uganda and Congo to provide micro-grid electrification using interconnected deployable renewable energy systems. The goal of the project was to reimagine rural electrification.
Lyman-Morse designed a variety of micro grid systems, trained the Notre Dame team on in-country deployment, and was on the phone whenever questions arose.
This was an exciting and fruitful relationship that has produced innovative approaches power stability in the region. We continue to collaborate with Notre Dame students and staff on new product/system concepts as well as chase joint funding for socially impactful programmatic implementations of advanced technology around the world.
